Cort A5 Plus SCMS Single Cutaway Multi-Scale 5-String Bass Guitar – The new A5 Plus SCMS 5 string bass from Cort is a bold and innovative modern bass design concept. It features a single-cutaway Swamp Ash body with a Spalted Maple top. The body has an extended upper bout for enhanced body-to-neck balance and sustain, and the 5 piece Maple/Pangapanga neck is a multi-scale fanned fret design for a longer scale length on the bass strings to shorter scale length on the treble strings, giving you far more accurate intonation. Each string has its own hardtail bridge unit, greatly improving string separation and reducing crosstalk for enhanced articulation and definition.
Bartolini MK-1 pickups deliver thumping lows and warm mids along with transparent and brilliant highs for a superbly balanced sound, while the renowned MK-1 preamp provides a powerful yet transparent boost, transferring the natural liveliness of the bass through a flexible 3-band equalizer. It is also switchable between active and passive modes. The result is a state-of-the-art bass for the most discerning musician.
